Homecoming Signature Tours

Premium tour and travel experience platform.

Context

The problem.

Heritage travel to Africa is dominated by either commodity packages or bespoke private operators with no online presence. Homecoming sits between the two — a curated, signature experience brand that needed the digital surface and operational backbone of a modern travel company.

Role

What I owned.

  • Built the booking surface and itinerary content system.
  • Designed the brand-facing site and trip presentation pages.
  • Set up the operational tooling that supports itinerary delivery on the ground.
  • Owned engineering decisions end-to-end across the platform.

Approach

How it came together.

Brand-led, ops-deep

A premium travel brand only works if the digital surface looks like the experience and the operations behind it actually deliver it. Both halves built in lockstep — no glossy site backed by a chaotic spreadsheet.

Signature itineraries, not a catalogue

A small, deliberate set of signature trips rather than an endless catalogue. Each one is built around a real heritage or luxury narrative and operationally rehearsed.

Direct booking, direct relationship

Booking and traveller relationship live on the Homecoming platform — no OTAs, no resold inventory. The brand owns the customer end-to-end.

Outcome

Where it stands.

  • Live signature travel brand operating across Africa.
  • Digital platform and operational tooling built in tandem.
  • Bookings and traveller relationships running directly on the platform.
